Is Greentree Mortgage a Difficult Group to Work with when Trying to Complete a Short Sale?

Hi there, I’m Shawn Polston with TucsonShortSale.com, one of Tucson’s leading short sale teams. I wanted to talk to you today about Greentree Mortgage Servicing and short sales. If you look around out there on the internet, Greentree is someone that it’s not very difficult to find a lot of negative things about them in relation to short sales and how short sales work.

My team and I do an incredible job of working with Greentree and getting things accomplished with them. One of the big things we have seen is we have seen a tremendous number of Bank of America loans that have just recently been transferred to Greentree Mortgage. So at any given time we are working on 30 to 50 files with Bank of America and we’ve seen about 15 in just the last two months that have been transferred to Greentree through the process.

How Can You Qualify For A Short Sale?

Thank you for joining me, this is Shawn Polston with TucsonShortSale.com at Keller William’s in southern Arizona. We are Tucson’s top short sale team and would like to help you with your difficult financial situation.

I wanted to talk to you today about a question that I get asked over and over again, "How do I qualify for a short sale?". Believe it or not, it’s not really that tough.

First of all, you either have to want to move, have to move or have some kind of situation in your life that is causing you to not be able to make your payments. We help anyone that is going through a death, divorce, job loss or transfer, medical issues or many other reasons. We have all kinds of great options for accomplishing a short sale if you are in a difficult situation.

One of the things that I want to get out there is that in most cases it’s incredibly rare that I run into people that don’t qualify for a short sale. If you are in a situation where your payments are not being made for any reason whatsoever, it’s nearly impossible that you won’t qualify for a short sale.

Some Lenders Are Transferring Mortgages During The Short Sale Process

I work with Keller Williams Realty in the Tucson area and use my blog to provide homeowners with valuable information on their options for avoiding foreclosure. For my blog today I wanted to discuss working with Seterus on a short sale file and some of my recent experiences. Seterus has been around for a long time but has operated under different names, such as LBPS. My team and I have worked with Seterus for years and know what to expect when working with their short sale department. Thanks to all of our experience we have enjoyed a lot of success on the short sale files we have gotten approved through Seterus. One thing I have noticed lately is a lot of Bank of America mortgages being transferred over to Seterus. This is rather common between lenders and just goes to show just how popular short sales have become in the Tucson area. It is even possible that your mortgage may be transferred during the short sale process.
